This is another sunny day, spring arises and nature is singing. Spring’s light transforms the present moment and makes it more vivid. And today, for no apparent reasons, I feel really grateful for what I am, and what I have. This is a vibrant emotion that I cannot explain, but It makes me feel alive. This is the magic of being.
Spontaneously, I look at these words that I wrote and framed so that I do not forget about their veracity. They have had a profound effect in my life and today, I feel like sharing these thoughts with you:
“All my life I had been looking for something, and everywhere I turned someone tried to tell me what it was. I accepted their answers too, though they were often in contradiction and even self-contradictory. I was naïve. I was looking for myself and asking everyone except myself questions which I, and only I, could answer. It took me a long time and much painful boomeranging of my expectations to achieve a realization everyone else appears to have been born with: that I am nobody but myself.” – Ralph Ellison, “Battle Royal”
“Often people attempt to live their lives backward: They try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want, so that they will be happier.
The way it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then do what you need to do in order to have what you want.” Shakti Gawain – Creative Vizualization
There is just one life for each of us: our own. – Euripides
Have a great sunny day!
