Nature is not surrounding us, it's part of us
The fact that we are intimately connected with nature and our environment seems to be an evidence but most of us only consider this relationship from an intellectual point of view. We’re so absorbed in our lives that we don’t pay attention to nature and our environment anymore.
Nature is not just “something” surrounding us, it’s part of us, and we’re part of nature. We are all connected at the energy level through the spirit of life. Wherever there is life, there is a vital energy and we constantly interact with it. When we become aware of this interconnectedness, our attitude starts changing, and we really become responsible for ourselves and our environment.
Let’s remind us this subtle relationship with nature, its benefits and consequences:
The mountains, rivers, earth, grasses, trees, and forests are always emanating a subtle, precious light, day and night, always emanating a subtle, precious sound, demonstrating and expounding to all people the unsurpassed ultimate truth. – Unknown
In a sense, each of us is an island. In another sense, however, we are all one. For though islands appear separate, and may even be situated at great distances from one another, they are only extrusions of the same planet, Earth. – J. Donald Walters
Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find resources of strength that will endure as long as life lasts – Rachel Carson
Let children walk with Nature, let them see the beautiful blendings and communions of death and life, their joyous inseparable unity, as taught in woods and meadows, plains and mountains and streams of our blessed star, and they will learn that death is stingless indeed, and as beautiful as life. – John Muir
Trees are the earth’s endless effort to speak to the listening heaven. – Rabindranath Tagore
The happiest man is he who learns from nature the lesson of worship. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
The earth we abuse and the living things we kill will, in the end, take their revenge; for in exploiting their presence we are diminishing our future. – Marya Mannes
The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature. – Anne Frank
The richness I achieve comes from Nature, the source of my inspiration. – Claude Monnet
We cannot command nature except by obeying her. – Francis Bacon

Great quotes! Nature is the inspiration for practically all my aphorisms. Be it the sun or a tiny insect in the grass, it fills me with constant awe.
nothingprofound,
That is why your aphorisms are so inspirational! Nature is just…part of ourselves! It sends us a reflection of our own beauty.
Thanks for sharing, I really appreciate

Mankind has a strange relationship with nature, using it, abusing it. Thinking it’s all powerful, while also trying to “save the Earth”. The truth is, whatever we do, the Earth will survive, but we might injure it badly enough so that we won’t.

It would be so much better if we simply lived happily all together. I’m sure it will happen, after all, as you said, nature is part of us and we are part of nature
Sylvain OBEGI´s last blog ..Give up
Hey Sylvain,
We have the same relationship with nature as we have with ourselves. If we destroy nature we will destroy ourselves. Man has a the tendency to not learn from its mistakes; just look at history. I hope we’ll avoid the worst and can develop a better understanding of ourselves and our actions.
Thanks Sylvain for contributing
