Go behind your comfort zone, let yourself go out of fear and express yourself
Do you restrain yourself from giving your opinion? Are you shy about expressing yourself? Do you care too much about what other people think? Confront your fears, make that extra step and let yourself go! All situations described in this post are not fictitious. Any resemblance to real life experiences is not purely coincidental. I may be talking about you!
Are you are scared to say that you’re feeling good with her? Are you afraid of being rejected? Tell her! Say it out loud, that’s maybe what she’s been expecting for too long.
Do you usually keep your opinion for yourself during these office meetings? Do you really feel like sharing this burning idea but finally never say anything? Don’t keep it for yourself, your involvement and ideas can have a positive impact and your personal engagement may be rewarded!
Do you hesitate to say “no” to someone, because you’re afraid that this person may get angry at you? Say no, that’s a way to show that you know what you want or at least what you don’t want. People will eventually respect you for that.
Are you afraid of being too personal, expressing your doubts or showing your weaknesses? Let yourself go and be authentic! You can’t please anyone, but you can have more meaningful relationships.
Have you been postponing this project for too long? Are you afraid of failing one more time? Start right away and put your plan into action. It may be your time for success. How do you know? You never know until you try one more time!
Will you apply for this position you dream of? On the other hand, are you still thinking that you don’t have what it takes? Pick up your phone and make this call! You may get the job because of your passion. Resumes are sometimes not enough.
Are you afraid to make this change in your life? Do what you really like. Follow your passions obsessively! It’s only when you take this irrevocable decision that doors open and opportunities flow into your life. Fear of failure, fear of rejection or fear of what other people may think, can stop you from living your dreams and passions. Sometimes it is necessary to stop thinking and confront your fears by doing what you’re afraid of, whatever it takes or how uncomfortable you may feel.
Whatever reasons you may have for not doing what you feel like doing, you’re missing too many opportunities. If you really want to manifest your dreams and express your passions, your job is not to keep asking but to focus your attention on what is happening in your life. Behind each relationship, incident, coincidence or insignificant event, there is an opportunity to grow and take a small step towards achieving your dreams.
Will you recognize this opportunity, will you act upon it? Go behind your comfort zone, let yourself go out of fear and express yourself; you may finally get what you’re dreaming of sooner than expected!

“Will you recognize this opportunity….. I think that this is an important thought. Many people don’t recognize opportunities when they are afraid. They call it by a different name…failure. I don’t know what stops people the most, fear of success or fear of failure. Both can keep you from moving into a new journey. Enjoyed your post. Thanks be well

Hello workinghard,
I agree with you. That’s why at a certain point, the best way to overcome our fears is to do what we’re the most afraid of.
Thanks for your comments.

Well said!,
I’m not normally much of a subscriber to self-help / motivational books, but Susan Jeffers “Feel the fear and do it anyway” on exactly this theme, really struck a chord with me. We only have one life, and it’s so sad that Fear holds people back from so many experiences

Thanks Paul for your comment.
When I look back, I smile at the opportunities I missed… However, I noticed that life keep on sending us the same things, under different forms, until we learn from them. Good news: there is always a hidden opportunity in most situations!
You’re always welcome

Good point here: “Have you been postponing this project for too long? Are you afraid of failing one more time? Start right away and put your plan into action. It may be your time for success. How do you know? You never know until you try one more time!”

Hello Sandra,
Yes jump in and stop thinking while doing. Then you cannot go back anymore. The only choice is forward, wherever that may lead.
Have a Great Day
