International Women’s Day is an occasion for me to praise the talents, courage and achievements of all the women that I met in my life, and the ones around the globe who inspire me for the same reasons.
Behind International Women’s Day celebration, I want to affirm my belief that every human being, whatever its gender is a part of myself.
Yes, we are all spiritually and energetically connected in this world.
When you despise, maltreat other human beings for any reasons, you are, in fact, doing it to yourself. You may act this way because of your culture, religion, ignorance, political or social ideologies; whatever the reasons, remember that you do it to yourself.
There isn’t any acceptable justification as you wouldn’t like to do it deliberately to yourself. Do not believe you can hide from the law of reciprocity: “Do to others as you would have them do to you” because you really “reap what you sow.”
Is it so difficult to express respect and love for others as we are, in fact, freeing our hearts to receive love and respect from others?

what an unconditional love for humanity, and the credit you give mankind IS a credit to your pure soul.
Thank you for sharing it.
Thank you Sibel, I really appreciate your comments.
You are right, behind gender and differences we are all one. This is not just a concept but is actually an existential truth of this creation that very few amongst us recognize. We live in a world that is divided on the basis of gender, race, class, religion etc. However, there is an undercurrent of life that unites us as we are all but different expressions of life that flows through us. Many blessings to you for highlighting this reality that is hidden from the eyes of common man today.
As you say, this reality is hidden from the eyes although it’s right in front of us. It takes 1 second to become aware of it, and it can only be understood from the heart.
Thanks Pratishtha for your insightful comment.
Hey Steve,
I do believe in Karma. Judging people on status, age, gender and/or social background is childish. I simply can’t believe there’s still racism in today’s age !
Human connection is, and always will be the core of life.
But it’s verrry hard to go beyond that; you have to get rid of your social conditioning every single day. It’s quite a struggle !
Hello Mars,
We all suffer from social conditioning. It is like bad habits, the more you fight them the more they resist. Maybe there is an easier way: Living most of the time in a state of awareness instead of being on auto-pilot and playing the same old song all over again. We can choose consciously our own song with lyrics made of tolerance, patience and mutual respect.
I am always amazed that 50% of human kind is not treated well by the other 50%. There really should not be gender differences or gener maltreatment. It is our human need to make someone less than ourselves that I believe creates part of the problem. Enjoyed your thoughts and perspective. Be well
Workinghard,
Jut the idea of making someone less than ourselves is intolerable…
Excellent post! Tolerance is the true intelligence test.
What a great post! I do believe that we’re all spiritually connected and we need to treat each other as we’d like to be treated. Thanks for the reminder.

Dear Steve,
Wow, I really like your site. I’m an enormous advocate of blending various religious (or spiritual, if you like) views, and you’ve done that succinctly and tactfully here.
You write like a Taoist, Buddhist, or Zen Buddhist, in the way you do not attack alternate points of view but rather show the futility in expressing them as separate from the so-called Way.
I’m going to have to watch this little blog, I think. It seems earnest, humble, worthwhile.
Cheers, Sir.
Yours Truly,
BothEyesShut
Andreea,
Another thought: If we are all connected, we can find a useful answer to our questions as there’ll always be the right person to answer.
Thanks for your comment
Nothingprofound,
I love your pen name, as you always have something profound to write and you write it so well.
Thanks, drop by anytime!
BothEyesShut,
Thank you for such a nice comment, you make my day! I’m always fascinated how people perceive words and how these words resonate in their life. Religion, spiritual, God are words that can hide enlightment & joy or deceiveness & disappointment and it depends on our choices. But fortunately we can change our minds and pursue what makes us happy.
Cheers
Steve
