Gratitude: your questions answered!
In this post, I want to answer the questions I received from my readers about gratitude. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have other questions you’de like me to answer.
You say that it’s important to be thankful for the problems in our lives, why?
Because when you’re grateful for situations that would normally be considered as “negative”, you take some distance from your problem and give yourself the opportunity to examine it as it is and not under the influence of fear. It puts yourself in a position to act and not react. It’s a way to explore other paths and perspectives that you would normally not consider.
When you develop the habit of gratitude in any circumstances you also surrender your obsessions with controlling everything in your life and let the door open for Divine interventions and creative solutions.
Can I honestly say thank you for being broke? You must be kidding!
You’re not broke because you have unique talents and abilities. This richness is inestimable. When you focus your attention on these incredible assets and are thankful for that, your perceptions shift toward most profitable considerations and opportunities. Your energy rises and you attract solutions. If you do that, then your next question could be: How can I be paid to be me? Money is just a reflection on how good you are to answer this question in your life.
How gratitude can help me realize my dreams?
When you’re grateful for the good things in your life, you attract even more of blessings into your life. The more you experience this principle in your life, the more energy you can invest in making your dreams come true. When you apply gratitude to what you have and for dreams you haven’t realized yet, you’re actually affirming the joy of living your life as it is and your preference for something even better. You live in the moment without the pressure of achieving your dreams and the feeling of lack that is often associated with comparing what you want vs what you have. You are simply affirming the outcome and live in the NOW, doing what you have to do and let go off any sort of stress. This is the real secret to manifesting your dreams.
How did your personal life change through the practice of gratitude?
I could have never imagined how two simple words as “Thank You” would transform my life. I have been blessed behind my craziest dreams. However, the most amazing blessing is the ability to live in the instant with peace and joy whatever the situation. When I say “thank you” for the present moment, I raise my awareness of the “now,” and I authorize myself to live fully in any moment. I’m not on autopilot anymore and believe me, this is a life transformation experience.
How gratitude can influence my relationships?
When you’re grateful for who you are and accept how other people are, you raise your tolerance and respect for others to another level. Your perceptions of yourself and others change and your relationships improve logically. Combining gratitude and forgiveness definitely skyrocket your relationships.
If it was so easy, we would live in a happy world!
Yes, I believe it is that simple. Most of the time, we know what is good and profitable for us, but we don’t do it. Why? I believe it’s because we live on auto-pilot. Most people live their life without positive intentions and a sense of purpose that come from dreaming big. They live their life just passing by. When you have big dreams and feel this sense of why you’re doing/being the way you are, you can’t forget to do things that are positive and meaningful in your life. Then, you have not only a reason, but many… Gratitude is an attitude, when it’ becomes a habit, moments after moments, you realize that your life is plugged into a realm of infinite possibilities.
Say it loud, write it, chant gratitude but above all never forget to do it. Because Gratefulness contains magic inside and has the power to transform your life.

Hey Steve,
I agree 100% with you: “Yes, I believe it is that simple. Most of the time, we know what is good and profitable for us, but we don’t do it”
Thanks for this post it’s very enlightening!

Steve,
What beautiful and insightful post on the topic of gratitude! It really is an important key to a happy and contented life. It’s so simple yet, like many things in life, we tend to make it harder than it needs to be. Thank you for giving specific examples of how we can take ourselves off of auto-pilot and practice gratitude in our day to day life!

Hello Renee,
Thank you for your lovely comment. I really appreciate. As you say it, we tend to overcomplicate many things and end up doing nothing. Feeling good is not a matter, of how much we think or how much we have or don’t have; it’s about cultivating our own garden through simple acts of love toward oneself and others with gratitude. Everything was given to us in order to be happy, we just need to allow these blessings to flourish in our lives.

Hey Steve,
I really like the points you made in the beginning about being grateful for “negative” situations and financial difficulties. In the first case, calling the situations negative puts us in a particular frame of mind that prevents us from fulling living in the moment and as you aptly put it “open for Diving interventions and creative solutions”.
As for being broke, there are still many things in our life that we can be grateful. Being in that state of mind allows us to see our own potential and open to financial abundance from numerous sources.
Your answers really give the vibe of someone that’s truly grateful. Keep it up! =)
Take care,
Ben
Hello Ben,
You’re right when you say that: “puts us in a particular frame of mind that prevents us from fully living in the moment”. In fact when we’re grateful for “negative” situations we instantly shift our perceptions of these situations and can focus our energy on solutions.
